This hug is 60 cms square-ish approximately, with mostly wool.
It is my own design combining a waffle pattern and a Granny Square to make a thick and luscious Hug.
Use for a baby, on the floor with a cloth on top to protect your precious infant from the cold. It is also the best kind of snuggly rug!
I knew the sheep that made some of the wool that this Hug was created from.
It is mostly wool and would make a very special gift for someone.
Washing wool Instructions
Washing wool requires some special care to avoid damaging the fibers and causing shrinkage. Here are some general instructions for washing wool:
- Read the care label on the garment. Most wool garments will have specific washing instructions on the label.
- If the garment is machine washable, use a delicate or wool cycle with cold water.
- Use a gentle, pH-neutral detergent designed for wool. Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
- Avoid overloading the washing machine, as this can cause friction and felting of the wool fibers.
- After the cycle is complete, remove the garment from the machine and reshape it by gently pulling it back into shape. Do not wring or twist the garment, as this can cause damage.
- Lay the garment flat on a clean towel and roll it up to remove excess water. Do not hang the garment to dry, as this can cause stretching.
- Allow the garment to air dry on a flat surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Once the garment is dry, you can iron it on a low heat setting, if necessary.
Remember to always follow the care instructions on the label of your wool garment, as different types of wool may require different care.
