About Me
Joanne Gardner started painting as another outlet of her creativity. Some of her other works can be found at Powerful Poetry.
Coming from a family of Arty people has been Joanne’s main inspiration. Her Great Grandmother painted beautiful coastal pictures of Northland New Zealand and continued to paint until she was 104 years old. Her sister Rebecca paints still life and designs printing blocks using New Zealand native motifs. There are many more of her family that create works of art too. Enjoy the experience of Passionate paintings.

Thank you Steven….I appreciate the support and love of the people around me who cheer me on.
Something about me that makes me different from my artist peers…
I am partially blind, seeing only with my right eye…makes me one-eyed… right!!! Yip…I know all the jokes. My paintings are a direct result of how I see the world…much of my world is felt…Feel, Felt, Found…
Which is why I paint from my heart and until recently I believed that I could not paint real things…
I have Vjekoslav Nemesh a wonderful artist to thank for my new found discoveries. I realised that I see the world like you see a television and this gives me an added advantage because I am not distracted by all the angles that fully sighted people see…instead my brain already knows how to create perspective in a flat picture because this is all I have ever known!!! Lucky eh…I reckon.
I want my paintings in the world…to spread the love…emotive and vibrant.
I am in love with painting.
All My Heart
